Anna has been making pottery & ceramics since 2019.

Anna is a Ukrainian ceramicist based in Hong Kong. Trained in London and Shanghai, her pottery takes on aspects of both East & West. Anna’s adventures in pottery often stem from her adventures in the world, be it walking the Scottish Highlands, learning from the pottery workshops of Jingdezhen in China, looking at a Lucie Rie pot, or reading poetry.

Anna loves the work of ceramicists Lucie Rie, Bernard Leach, and Edmund de Waal. All three share a sense of the adventure and alchemy in the craft of pottery-making which resonates with Anna.

“To make pots is an adventure to me, every new work is a new beginning. Indeed I shall never cease to be a pupil.”
